Three types -

1. Fibrous joint or synarthosis - immovable joint; eg. - Frontal suture;

2. Cartilagibous joint 0r amphiarthosis - joint with restricted movement; eg. - Pelvic symphysis; and

3. Synovial joint or diarthosis - movable joint; eg. - Elbow, knee, femoropatellar joint.
